On the evening of August 10, Samsung officially released the new clamshell folding screen phone Galaxy Z Flip 4.
Frankly speaking, the changes of this generation are somewhat “squeezing toothpaste”, the shape is almost unchanged, and the whole machine is heavier (183g becomes 187g).
When it comes to upgrades, it’s actually all inside, including the Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 processor, more durable Corning Victus+ glass, larger battery capacity (from 3300mAh to 3700mAh), and more advanced cameras.
Samsung specifically mentioned the optimization of the folding screen software, including when folded 90 degrees, the application will be separated on the upper and lower screens, and the lower part can be used for input, navigation and other areas. Another example is the external preview screen, which now supports making calls directly, replying to messages, taking selfies, etc.
Reviewing the basic parameters, the external screen is 1.9 inches (512×260), the internal screen is 6.7 inches (2640 x 1080 resolution, 120Hz), the whole system is 8GB RAM, and the storage is optional 128GB, 256GB and 512GB UFS 3.1, and does not support expansion. The main camera is 12 million pixels, supports OIS optical image stabilization, and the secondary camera is 12 million pixels ultra-wide-angle. After unfolding, there is a 10 million selfie lens in the hole.
It supports up to 25W wired and 15W wireless fast charging, side fingerprints, and the Android 12-based OneUI 4.1 system is pre-installed.
The starting price of the Galaxy Z Flip 4 is still set at $999 (about 6646 yuan), and it will go on sale on August 26.
In terms of Bank of China, the Pioneer plans to have an early adopter price of 8,499 yuan (8+256GB), 9,499 yuan (8+512GB), and the colorful customized version starts at 9,899 yuan (8+512GB).
