Prerequisites:
JDK 11 to be installed. Do not attempt any other JDKs as it might throw some error.
In Windows 11
As per the video, you can install
In Ubuntu, here are the steps to install
$ sudo apt update
$ sudo apt install openjdk-11-jdk build-essential autoconf automate libxmu-dev
Download the package from the internet and extract it to the home folder (in my case it is /home/pradeepkumar )
Set the PATH and PTII variable as shown in the video
Open the terminal, go to the folder where the ptolemy is extracted and give the following command.
$ cd ptII1.0.1/ptII11.0.1/
$ ./configure
$ make -j8
$ cd bin
$ ./vergil
the above command opens the application.
