Updated 12/13/19 – This method still works for the newly released iOS 13.3 firmware. You can Jailbreak iOS 13.3 using this method.
Checkra1n is based on checkm8, an all-powerful bootrom exploit. Said exploit will work on all firmwares, but that doesn’t mean checkra1n will. This guide will show you how to bypass the default “Sorry, iPhone X is supported, but iOS 13.3 is now. Supported versions are 12.3 – 13.2.3″ message inside of checkra1n to jailbreak iOS 13.3. This guide will also apply to future versions of iOS 13, empowering you to jailbreak iOS 13.2.4, iOS 13.3, iOS 13.3.1, iOS 13.3.2, etc.
Here’s the terminal command to run (without quotes):
” /Applications/checkra1n.app/Contents/MacOS/checkra1n_gui – ”
Because of the primary checm8 exploit checkra1n is based on, it’s a semi tethered jailbreak for older devices. This means any time you reboot, you’ll need to use checkrain to boot tethered to use your “jailbreak stuff”. You CAN still reboot without a computer to use all system apps though.

Unfortunately though, because Apple patched this low-level exploit in the silicon of A12, it will not work on the iPhone XS or newer. Checkra1n is patched on A12 and A13 CPUs. This means checkra1n will NOT be able to jailbreak any of the following devices.
NOT SUPPORTED:
– iPhone XS and XS Max
– iPhone XR
– iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max
– iPad Pro 2018
– iPad Air 3rd gen 2019, or iPad mini 5
However don’t fear, this will benefit you too! Jailbreakers now have a permanent jailbreak environment, which means they can now discover new kernel vulnerabilities easier that will lead to new jailbreaks for the newer A12 and A13. More jailbreaks will come as a result of checkra1n!
