This will show you how you can jailbreak your device, excluding the iPhone 4S & the new iPad (3), with the developer Redsn0w application. You will need to jailbreak it with Redsn0w, which this will install SSH on your device. After that you can SSH into your device and install Cydia. Please note that not a lot of things are compatible with iOS 6 in Cydia yet, so install at your own risk.
