When you download the latest #macOS installer, it comes in the form of installer.app. you can follow the steps described in this video to: –
01:00 Create a customized DMG container using Disk Utility.
02:35 Create a bootable macOS system inside the DMG container (i.e. create a bootable DMG container)
07:03 Convert the DMG container into a bootable macOS.iso image that can be used to install macOS systems in virtual machines.
👉🏻 The same process of converting macOS installer.app to macOS bootable.iso can be performed using terminal commands as shown in this video:-
🔥 This method can be used for macOS Monterey, macOS BigSur, macOS Mojave, macOS Catalina and macOS High Sierra.
