21.5-inch iMacs with and without 4K are declining in stock at the Apple Store in the United States, according to US media MacRumors. The delivery date of non-4K compatible models has been extended by at least one week.

According to MacRumors, many Apple Stores (US) do not accept standard 21.5-inch iMac models over-the-counter. The high-end 16GB RAM / 1TB Fusion Drive storage model is also in a state where it can not be received at the store, but it seems that it will be delivered. Delivery times are reported to increase by at least 5-7 business days, regardless of system configuration.

High-end 21.5-inch iMacs that support 4K are also low in stock at some Apple stores, but many stores are in stock. The 27-inch iMac, which has a larger display size, can be ordered as usual.

Is the new iMac coming soon?

Last month, Apple discontinued two system configurations of the standard model of the 21.5-inch iMac. A new iMac with a redesigned Apple M1 chip is expected to appear, but it’s unclear when it will be released.

Apple plans to hold a new product launch event “Spring Loaded” on April 20, and it is rumored that the new iPad Pro will be announced. Whether or not the redesigned iMac will be unveiled at the same time will not be known until the day of the event.
