Apple suddenly updated the support document page for the MagSafe adapter, which had been around for nearly five years, and it’s been talked about, “Is there a sign that MagSafe will be back on the MacBook?”

Update for the first time in about 5 years

Apple updated the “Apple Portable: Troubleshooting MagSafe Adapters” page on July 20, 2021 local time. The page with the same content in Japanese has not been updated yet, and the last update date is December 1, 2016.

Sami Fashi, a reporter for MacRumors, has discovered that the page has been updated for the first time in about six years. Bloomberg and analyst Minchey Kuo said it was “very interesting”, citing expectations that the MagSafe adapter would come back on the MacBook.

“This is interesting. Apple seems to have decided to make a major change to the support document for the MacBook MagSafe charger. This support document was last updated in November 2016, so it’s been almost five years since the last update. There is no model with MagSafe on the current MacBook. “

“Apple frequently updates its support documentation, making it easier to understand, adding new ones, etc., but what’s particularly interesting about this case is that both Bloomberg and Kuo expect MagSafe to come back. That’s what it does, but this update could just be for older Mac users. “

Welcome to the resurrection of MagSafe

Several followers have posted comments on Fashi’s tweet saying that he welcomes MagSafe’s return to the MacBook.
