Huawei has applied for trademark registration of “V-Pencil” at the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). Dutch media LetsGo Digital reports that this V-Pencil may be a stylus pen for the next folding smartphone “Mate V”.

The other day, Huawei announced on Chinese social media Weibo that Huawei will announce a new folding smartphone “Mate V” by the end of the year, by Leaker Kumaneko Kamuro (@PandaIsBald).
LetsGoDigital states that the trademark registration of “V-Pencil” this time confirms the appearance of the new folding smartphone Mate V.
The Mate V has the same vertically foldable design (clamshell design) as the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3, and there is information that it will be equipped with the Kirin 9000 chip.
Event will be held on October 21st
In June of this year, Huawei announced the “M-Pencil” as the first stylus pen for the tablet “MatePad Pro 2” equipped with HarmonyOS.
The company plans to host an event in Vienna, Austria on October 21, 2021, when LetsGo Digital expects details of the Mate V and V-Pencil to be revealed. ..
