EMS One reported that Pegatron’s September 2021 sales, which are outsourced to assemble the iPhone13 mini, increased significantly month-on-month and year-on-year.
Total sales by year continue to decline
According to EMS One, Pegatron’s September 2021 sales were NT $ 149,039 million, up 74.7% month-on-month and 18.1% year-on-year.
However, in the third quarter of 2021 (July-September), although it increased by 18.5% from the previous quarter, it decreased by 3.8% from the same period of the previous year to NT $ 322,858 million (about 1,290 billion yen), from January to September. The period was NT $ 811,702 million (approximately ¥ 3,246 billion), a decrease of 13.8% from the same period of the previous year.
Will you be in charge of manufacturing iPhone 14 Max in 2022?
In the assembly work of the iPhone 13 series, Pegatron seems to be responsible for the total number of iPhone 13 mini and 32% of iPhone 13, China Luxshare is responsible for 40% of iPhone 13 Pro, and Foxconn is responsible for the rest.
In the iPhone14 series (tentative name: 2022 model), it is not expected that a model with a 5.4 inch display will be lined up, so Pegatron is expected to be in charge of manufacturing the base model, iPhone14 Max, with a 6.7 inch display.
