The Trump administration has given TikTok’s parent company, ByteDance, an additional seven days to extend the deadline for selling its US business, which had been extended to 27 days.

The sale deadline will be extended again by December 4th

On August 14, President Trump instructed ByteDance to sell the app to a US company within 90 days, with a deadline of November 12. However, a 15-day extension was granted and the sale deadline was re-extended by 27 days. The US government has extended the new sale deadline from 27th to 4th December, according to materials released by the US District Court.
 
ByteDance also reportedly presented a new plan to address US government concerns. The company has partnered with Walmart and Oracle to hold long-term discussions with both companies to establish a new US-based company, TikTok Global.
 
In September, a U.S. court ruled that the Trump administration would temporarily suspend measures banning new domestic downloads of TikTok because it countered China’s collection of malicious U.S. citizens’ personal data. ..
