Lisa Jackson, Apple’s vice president of environment, policy and social initiatives, emphasized: “Clean energy and water are the foundation for building healthy communities and the key to responsible corporate development.” “We are going all out to move towards ‘Apple 2030’ climate targets, while also working to transform power grids and restore watersheds to contribute to a cleaner future.”

Apple’s investment in clean energy has achieved remarkable results, and its clean power capacity has climbed to more than 18 gigawatts, a figure that has tripled from 2020. This significant growth is driven primarily by clean electricity generated by solar projects in the United States and Europe.

In addition, Apple has set another important goal, which is to replenish 100% of the fresh water consumed in the company’s operations in high-pressure areas after use, aiming to restore the ecological balance of aquifers and rivers. Apple has pledged to provide nearly 7 billion gallons of water benefits over the next 20 years. At the same time, through close cooperation with suppliers, Apple’s “Supplier Clean Water Program” successfully saved more than 76 billion gallons of water.
