Do you sometimes ask yourself which iOS version is currently installed on your iPhone? In the Settings app, you do not always receive a notification immediately that a new iOS version is available for download. If you always want to be up-to-date with your software – which is recommended for security reasons alone – you can easily check which iOS version is currently running on your device. We show you how to do it.
Find out the iOS version on the iPhone
Settings → General → Info → Software version
To display or determine the iOS version on your iPhone, first go to the Settings app. Then select the item “General” and then tap on the “Info” option. In the info view you can now see a long list with different entries. This also includes the entry “Software version”, which shows you the version number currently installed on your iPhone.
