Based on a best-selling novel based on a true story

“The Greatest Beer Run Ever” will be directed by Peter Farrelly, who is known for his comedy films such as the movies “Green Book”, “The Return of Mr. Dammer Stupid MAX!” And “Shallow Hal”.

The film is based on the best-selling novel “The Greatest Beer Run Ever: A Memoir of Friendship, Loyalty and War” by John “Chicky” Donahue and Joanna Moroi.

This novel is a non-fiction book about Donahue delivering beer to his childhood friend in the Army, who was fighting at the forefront during the Vietnam War in 1967 at the age of 26.

Mr. Donahue turned from a U.S. Marine Corps veteran to a commercial sailor, boarded a freighter, carried a backpack with beer on his back, and followed his companions through the jungle. Filming of the movie is scheduled to begin this summer.
