Eve Systems, a manufacturer of many HomeKit-enabled products, released an update to the Eve Light Strip on October 28, local time, to support HomeKit’s new adaptive lighting feature.
Adaptive lighting adjusts color temperature throughout the day
Eve Systems was one of the first companies to introduce adaptive writing. Adaptive Lighting is designed to adjust the color temperature of HomeKit-enabled luminaires throughout the day. It is adjusted to warm colors in the morning and cool colors in the daytime, and reduces blue light at night to improve sleep quality.
To use the adaptive lighting feature with Eve Light Strip, you need to set your HomePod or Apple TV (4th or 5th generation) as your home hub.
If you have an Eve Light Strip, you can update it from the Eve app. The product can be purchased from the Eve website as well as from Amazon.
