More convenient than the Smart Battery Case
Apple sells a Smart Battery Case that doubles as a protective case and battery pack, but since it doubles as a case, you can’t remove it even when you don’t need to charge it. In other words, the iPhone itself becomes heavy.
In that respect, MagSafe’s removable battery pack can be carried separately from your iPhone. Moreover, no cable is required when charging, and it is as easy as sticking it on the back.
