Does the MacBook Pro with Apple Silicon have more processing power than the current 16-inch?

13MacBook Pro vs 16

Wccftech predicts that the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Apple Silicon could outperform the 16-inch MacBook Pro with the Intel Core i9 processor.

Estimated Geekbench score of 8-core A14X is equivalent to Core i9

Wccftech reported that the performance of the A14X Bionic is comparable to the Intel Core i9-9980HK on the 16-inch MacBook Pro.

The media expects the new 13-inch MacBook Air to have an A14X Bionic-based 8-core chip and the new 13-inch MacBook Pro to have an A14X Bionic-based 12-core chip.

Bloomberg reported in April 2020 that it is “developing a 12-core chip Apple Silicon that combines an 8-core high-performance core and a 4-core high-efficiency core, codenamed Firestorm.”

When Wccftech comes out with the expected number of cores, the processing power of the new 13-inch MacBook Air is comparable to the current 16-inch MacBook Pro, and the new 13-inch MacBook Pro is likely to exceed that.
