Apple’s new subscription service, Apple Fitness +, is now available in some regions, including the United States. The author, who lives in the United States, decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, I can’t apply yet in Japan.

I just recently purchased the Apple Watch Series 6, and have been informed that Apple Fitness + will be available for free for three months. To use Apple Fitness +, you need an iPhone 6s or later with iOS 14.3 and an Apple Watch Series 3 or later with watchOS 7.2.
 
It’s also available on iPad Air 2 and later with iPad OS 14.3 and Fitness App installed, and Apple TV HD and Apple TV 4K with tvOS 14.3 and Fitness App installed.

Useful for those exercising with the Apple Watch

I usually watch videos such as YouTube and start the workout app on the Apple Watch to exercise. Therefore, it takes time to prepare to play the video first, launch the workout application screen of Apple Watch, and tap it almost at the same time to start exercising.
 
But with Apple Fitness +, you don’t have to open the workout app every time, and you don’t have to quit the app after exercising (I sometimes forget to quit).
 
The functional strength training for beginners I tried today was introduced at the same time as a method of using a chair so that even people with weak physical strength can do it, and I felt that it is compatible with a wide range of people.
