Regarding the new iMac, the image created based on the leak information had a constant and narrow frame width around the display, but the actual product has a thick frame width only at the bottom of the display, such as a logic board. Notebookcheck explains that it was installed.

It was rumored that the new iMac would look like the Pro Display XDR, which would look like an enlarged iPad Pro, so many images were posted based on that information.
However, the announced product had a wide frame only at the bottom of the display, which was different from these images.
The reason for this is that Notebookcheck, referring to a post by Fiyin Adewale (@fiyin), explained that the frame part at the bottom of the display, commonly known as the “chin”, has a logic board with an M1 chip inside. I have.
Would love to know why the logic board were not moved behind the display, to remove the chin.
I guess it would’ve made the iMac thicker, but were there any other reasons?

Daniel (ZONEofTECH) of YouTuber, who publishes information on Apple products, posted that if the logic board was placed behind the display, the “chin” could be eliminated.
It seems that the “chin” could be narrowed by mounting the logic board behind the display, but Apple chose to make the housing thinner, Notebookcheck wrote.
There are multiple small cooling fans on both sides of the logic board, not a fanless structure like the MacBook Air.
It seems that a large speaker chamber (enclosure) is installed behind the display.
