SA: In Q1 of 2021, global sales of 5G smartphones will be 133.9 million, with Apple’s iPhone accounting for 30.2%

IT Home, April 30, news foreign market research organization Strategy Analytics today released global 5G smartphone sales data for the first quarter of 2021. The report shows that during this period, global 5G mobile phone sales reached 133.9 million units, a year-on-year increase of 458%. The mobile phone sales of major brands in the first quarter have increased significantly compared with the first quarter of 2020.

Specifically, in Q1 of 2021, 40.4 million Apple iPhone 12 series 5G mobile phones were sold globally, accounting for 30.2% of the market; OPPO’s 5G mobile phone sales were 21.5 million, with a market share of 16.1% ranking second; vivo brand 5G Mobile phone sales were 19.4 million units, accounting for 14.5%. The sales of 5G mobile phones of Samsung and Xiaomi ranked fourth and fifth respectively, with a market share of more than 12%.

According to Ken Hyers, SA director of the research institute, the Apple Phone 12 series mobile phones are selling well in the Chinese festival, European and American markets, and have gained a clear lead. This phone has a stylish design and reasonable pricing to ensure sales.

IT Home understands that OPPO 5G mobile phone shipments in the first quarter of 2021 have increased by 1165% year-on-year, and it is currently the smartphone brand with the largest market share in China. The SA research report stated that the hot sales of OPPO Reno 5 series and A55 series 5G mobile phones have enabled them to surpass their competitors and gain a leading edge.
