Apple’s podcast subscription service will be postponed to June release

According to foreign media reports, Apple announced in an email sent to creators on Friday that the Podcast subscription service originally scheduled to be launched this month will be postponed to June.

Apple’s podcast subscription was announced at the company’s Spring Loaded conference last month. Users can pay directly to creators and get an ad-free listening experience. CEO Tim Cook promised that this will represent “the biggest change since the debut of Apple Podcasts” and will be launched in 170 countries, with the first partners including Pushkin Industries and NPR.

It is reported that some creators who use Apple Podcasts have recently encountered some problems, such as being unable to log in to Apple’s Podcast Connect portal, or delays in new episodes. In Friday’s email, Apple stated that the problem has been fixed.

Apple said that in order to ensure the best experience for creators and listeners, Apple podcast subscriptions and channels will be launched in June.
