Galaxy S21 FE discontinued-may not be released due to lack of semiconductors

Wccftech reported that production of the Galaxy S21 FE, a popular price range model of the Samsung Galaxy S21, seems to have been discontinued due to a shortage of semiconductors. It seems that the model may not be released.

Is the system-on-chip shortage affected?

According to Wccftech, Samsung has informed its suppliers that it will stop production of the Galaxy S21 FE on June 11, 2021 and cancel the parts order.

Upon receiving this notification, the supplier believes that the model is unlikely to be commercially available. The reason for the discontinuation seems to be the shortage of Exynos 2100 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 scheduled to be installed in the Galaxy S21 FE.

Prioritize the production and launch of other new products?

Samsung is also expected to release the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 in August, so giving top priority to the production and shipping of such products may be one of the reasons for this decision, Wccftech. Is guessing.
