Twitter’s “Fleet” was a new feature that automatically disappears posts 24 hours after it was launched in November last year, but it was announced that support will end because the feature is not being used much.

Twitter announced the end of support for “Fleet” on July 14, local time, saying it didn’t lead to more conversations than expected. The feature will disappear from Twitter on August 3rd.
What I learned by implementing “fleet”
According to Twitter, the fleet was created to remove some of the anxieties that are the reason for hesitating to tweet, but the feature spreads tweets further by those who already tweet frequently, It seems that it was mostly used to talk directly with others.
Twitter has declared that it will continue to explore in various ways why people hesitate to tweet. For those who have already tweeted a lot, we also promise to work to further improve the environment.
Will some features of the fleet be inherited by future Twitter?
Many fleets include media, and users enjoyed sharing photos and videos quickly and adding them to discussions on Twitter, Twitter said in a blog post.
Twitter also suggests that the full-screen camera, text editing options, and GIF stickers on the fleet creation screen may be inherited by future tweet creation screens.
