Supply chain broke the news: Apple iPhone 13/Pro series will support 25W fast charging

IT House July 23 news, foreign media MacRumors reported that, according to Apple’s supply chain news, the Apple iPhone 13 series may support 25W power adapters and support faster charging speeds. In contrast, the current limitation of iPhone 12 is only 20W Fast charging.

Apple iPhone 12 supports fast charging with a power adapter of 20W or higher; however, even if the user uses a more powerful power adapter, the iPhone itself only supports a maximum of 20W. According to rumors, Apple will provide users with support for 25W power adapters this fall, and subsequently release its own 25W power adapter, which is open for purchase as an accessory. Apple’s current 20W power adapter is priced at $19.99.

Compared with 20W, 25W will not bring huge changes to the user’s charging speed or typical daily charging. Many flagship Android smartphones, such as Samsung Galaxy S21, already support 25W. IT Home was informed that it had previously revealed that the battery capacity of each model of the iPhone 13 series will increase due to more advanced displays and 5G networks, which will increase power consumption.

It is expected that the Apple iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max will benefit from the LTPO display. It will not only provide users with a better viewing experience through the ProMotion 120Hz refresh rate, but also may support the AOD screen display function.
