China BOE unveiled a gaming display with a refresh rate of 480Hz at the China Digital Entertainment Expo and Conference (ChinaJoy 2021).

The new gaming display announced by BOE uses a mini LED as the backlight, supports a refresh rate of 480Hz, and achieves a response speed of 1ms.
This display, which uses the high image quality technology “BOE ADS Pro”, has a contrast ratio of several million, a peak brightness of 2,000 nits, and a local dimming area of 10,000 points.
BOE also announced an organic EL display with a screen ratio of 32: 9 and a radius of curvature of 1800. This display covers a range of 178 degrees, further enhancing the user’s immersive feeling.
BOE’s display panels are used in gaming displays from mainstream manufacturers and have the largest market share.
The company’s display panels are used in high-end gaming displays such as Acer, ASUS, DELL, HP and Lenovo.
Display panel supply for Apple products is expected to increase
BOE is also gaining in presence in display panels for Apple products.
The company’s organic EL display is expected to increase in use in the iPhone 13 series, and it was reported that it plans to supply a ProMotion display with a refresh rate of 120Hz in the future.
