Taiwanese media DigiTimes reported that TSMC will begin producing semiconductors on the 3nm process in late 2022. The products produced in the process appear to contain the new Apple Silicone.

Is the new iPad Pro the first to be installed in actual products?

Industry insiders told DigiTimes that TSMC’s 3nm process will produce chips for the iPhone or Mac in late 2022.

However, the Cult of Mac reports that the iPad series may come first in the actual product.

In the iPad Air (4th generation) released in 2020, Apple installed the A14 Bionic before the iPhone 12 series.

Similarly, in 2022, the Clut of Mac reports that it may be installed in the new iPad Pro this time.

Will the new Mac Pro chip be produced by the 3nm process?

In late 2022, the new Mac Pro, the last model in the Mac’s Apple mobile migration, is expected to arrive.

It is also rumored that the model will be equipped with two Apple silicon “M2X” CPU cores called “Jade 2C-Die” and “Jade 4C-Die” with 20 cores and 40 cores.

In any case, it seems likely that chips for Apple products produced in the latter half of 2022 will be gradually shifted to TSMC’s 3nm process products.
