Apple is planning to hold a new product announcement event “Latest work from California” from 2:00 am on September 15, Japan time, but Mark Garman of Bloomberg, who is said to have its own connection within Apple He summarized the main specifications of iPhone 13 and Apple Watch Series 7 and distributed them in a newsletter.
“Slightly” faster A15 processor
In Garman’s newsletter “Power On”, the specifications for iPhone 13 are summarized as follows.
- Same design but narrower notch
- Camera hardware: Pro model with 3 lenses, regular model with 2 lenses
- New Camera Software Features: Video Portrait Mode, New “Apply Different Styles to Photos with AI-Driven Filter System”, ProRes Video Shooting Capabilities on Pro Models
- Equipped with an A15 processor that has the same number of cores as the A14 and is “slightly” faster
- Improved refresh rate with LTPO (Low Temperature Polycrystalline Oxide) Display on iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max
- Satellite function for emergency communication
Regarding Apple Watch Series 7, “renewal to flat edge design” and “addition of many new bands and dials” are expected.
No new healthcare features
Gurman just said the Apple Watch Series 7 will not have new healthcare features or related sensors.
The Apple Watch Series 7 has been revamped with a linear design, increasing in size from the current 40/44 mm to 41/45 mm, and reportedly expanding the display area.
At the event on the 15th, it is almost certain that the iPhone 13 series and Apple Watch Series 7 will be announced.
