For many users who want to buy new Apple products, they should start early or start early. Why do you say that?
In this year’s holiday shopping season, consumers who want to buy Apple devices will face a cruel reality: Most of the products they order will have to wait several weeks or even longer before they arrive.
Orders for the latest products such as Apple’s iPhone 13, iPad mini, ninth-generation iPad, Apple Watch Series 7 and MacBook Pro will not be completed until November or December. Even some older devices, including the iMac, Mac Pro and other higher-priced MacBook Air released in April, have been delayed in delivery.
For Apple, certain components are particularly difficult to buy. According to reports, supply shortages from chip makers such as Broadcom and Texas Instruments have forced Apple to cut its production target for the 2021 iPhone 13 by as much as 10 million units.
Even some older Apple products are difficult to buy, which is a worrying sign. Apple’s official website shows that the new iPhone 11 will not arrive until mid-November, while the iPhone 12 will arrive between the end of this month and the beginning of next month. Retail employees said that in many specialty stores across the United States, such mobile phones are also in short supply or out of stock.
The new MacBook Pro went on sale on Monday. Depending on the configuration, the delivery date of the order will soon be delayed to between mid-November and the end of November.
Even some of Apple’s most uncomplicated products are not available, including the $19 screen polishing cloth that the company launched this week. Although netizens jokingly call them “iCloth”, there are still enough people buying them, making them scarce. New orders can take up to four months to arrive.
