Apple has released iOS / iPad OS 14.8.1.
Important security updates
The iOS / iPadOS 14.8.1 release notes state that “This update contains important security updates.”
Regarding the contents of the security update, AppleInsider states that the problem of memory corruption has been resolved by fixing the IOMobileFrameBuffer.
According to the media, the issue (CVE-2021-30883) allows applications to execute arbitrary code with kernel privileges, and Apple may be actively exploiting this issue. It is said that it has received a report.
Even after iOS15 is provided, updates will be provided for iOS14
Apple is providing updates for users who continue to use iOS 14 after iOS 15.
