Facebook recently announced that it will officially name it “Meta,” but it has already become clear that the latest beta version of WhatsApp says “WhatsApp from Meta.”
Footer branding renewed
WABetaInfo, who is familiar with the beta version of the app, found that the branding was changed from the traditional “WhatsApp from Facebook” to “WhatsApp from Meta” in the iOS version “2.21.220.14” of WhatsApp.
Facebook’s company name change is seen as a strategy to push out “Metaverse,” which is a “digital space that realizes things that cannot be done in the physical world.”
According to WABetaInfo, the Android version of WhatsApp Beta is expected to make this change next week.
