After Beats Fit Pro goes live, Apple announces that three old headphones including Powerbeats will be discontinued

After launching the Beats Fit Pro this morning, Apple announced the discontinuation of several old Beats headphones. These include Powerbeats priced at US$150, Beats Solo Pro priced at US$250, and Beats EP headphones priced at US$130. As of yesterday, these Beats headset options are still listed in Apple’s online store, but today, when trying to access one of the links to these products, a warning appears that these accessories are no longer available for purchase.

With the discontinuation of Powerbeats, Beats Solo Pro and Beats EP, Apple’s beats series now includes Beats Studio Buds, Powerbeats Pro, Beats Pro Over-Ear Headphones, Beats Flex, Beats Studio3, Beats Solo3, Beats Fit Pro and Beats Pill+, all These can be purchased from the Apple website.

Apple today also made temporary price cuts for several older Beats products, including Beats Flex, Beats Studio Buds and Power Beats Pro, with discounts ranging from $20 to $50.
