Niantic announced on November 2nd that it will end its location-based AR game “Harry Potter: Wizards Alliance” on January 31, 2022.
Download and in-game purchases will not be possible on December 6, 2021, and the service will end at the end of January 2022.
The Harry Potter: Wizards Alliance, which began distribution in June 2019, will be removed from the App Store, Google Play, and Galaxy Store on December 6, 2021, and will no longer be available for in-game purchase on the same day.
If you have already downloaded the app, you can continue to play until January 31, 2022, when the service ends. Gold and items purchased within the app will continue to be available until the end date.
Regarding unused gold, the latest information will be announced on the official page of “Harry Potter: Wizards Alliance” after January 31, 2022.
Gameplay changes, events after November
The Harry Potter: Wizards Alliance made the following changes to gameplay on November 2, 2021.
- Increased rewards for all daily missions
- 50% reduction in compounding time for all spells in Master Note
- Unlimited number of gifts you can send and open per day
- Player XP gained from Barufio’s brain-activating elixir has tripled
- Increased frequency of 1920s port key bags appearing on maps.Also doubled the rewards for related pieces
- Increased the frequency with which spell energies and materials appear on the map
