It is reported that there are many reports that the new MacBook Pro equipped with the M1 Pro and M1 Max chips crashes when playing HDR videos on YouTube.
The cause of the bug is unknown
MacRumors reader Cababah said on the site’s forum that while watching YouTube HDR videos in Safari on the new MacBook Pro, he was scrolling through the comments section and found a kernel error in macOS Monterey 12.0.1. Has happened.
There are also reports that an error occurred when watching YouTube in full screen playback and exiting full screen mode. Some say that only models with 16GB of RAM are affected, but MacRumors commented that 32GB / 64GB models could also have bugs.

Some people say that there is a problem with AV1 decoding, but the cause of the detailed bug has not been clarified. Not all MacBook Pro users are having problems, MacRumors added.
