Alex Gorsky, CEO of Johnson & Johnson, has been announced as a new member of Apple’s board of directors.

Foresight in the field of health care

Gorsky has decades of experience in corporate leadership and healthcare technology and has a track record of leading innovative and diverse teams around the world.
 
“Alex has long been a visionary in the field of health care. His outstanding insight, experience, and passion for technology will help improve people’s lives and build a healthier community. “It helps,” said Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, about Gorsky. “We are very pleased to welcome him to Apple’s board of directors. His leadership and expertise will be beneficial to all of us.”
 
Mr. Gorsky joined Johnson & Johnson in 1988, gained experience in a wide range of fields such as sales, management and marketing, and became CEO in 2012. Gorsky is known for making innovation and technology a top priority and pioneering the future of pharmaceuticals, medical devices and consumer health with breakthrough investments.
