First in Japan
According to Kinki University, the official Apple training center for training app developers will be the first in Japan.
It is mainly aimed at students of the Faculty of Informatics, which will be newly established from April 2022, and in order to receive official approval, it is strict that Apple presents by “training” four faculty members as instructors and preparing equipment. It seems that it has passed the standard. The specific lectures consist of 15 lectures each in the previous and next semesters, for a total of 30 lectures, and the teaching materials are English textbooks designated by Apple.
Why Kinki University
As mentioned earlier, this is the first attempt in Japan, but overseas educational institutions have held various forms of training programs for Apple developers.
In 2017, a developer academy was opened at one of Italy’s most prestigious universities in Naples, and a large-scale training academy and support facility is expected to be established in South Korea in 2022.
By the way, the reason why Kinki University got a white arrow this time may be related to the achievement of introducing a Mac upgrade program for students and actively using Apple products for education. In response to the interview, Professor Nobukazu Iguchi of the university hopes that the graduates will play an active role globally, saying that “Swift qualifications are world-class.”
