The release date of the macOS Big Sur compatible version of the comprehensive security software “ESET Cyber Security Series”, which is light and has many users, is expected to be February 2021 and is announced on ESET’s overseas support site.

The current version does not support macOS Big Sur 11.0 / 11.1.
In the unlikely event that you upgrade your OS, ESET will not work properly.

Provisional program for macOS Big Sur
The following interim programs are available from December 17, 2020 for users who have upgraded to macOS Big Sur.
- ESET Cyber Security Pro V6.10.460.1
- ESET Cyber Security V6.10.460.1
It is said that the future support schedule is undecided for both the version and the scheduled date. Canon IT Solutions has announced that it plans to release a version compatible with macOS Big Sur in late November 2020.
Current support status: Support page for overseas
In contrast to the domestic support page, which has been announced as undecided, ESET’s overseas support page shows future support plans.
According to the information posted on ESET’s overseas support page, in January 2021, we released “Version: 6.10.y” that solved the firewall-related issues, and in February 2021, there was a device control problem. It seems that “Version: 6.10.z”, which is a version compatible with macOS Big Sur, will be released.
