According to Windows Latest, Qualcomm is developing a new chip, the SC8280, for Windows on ARM.

“Microsoft SQ1”, “Microsoft SQ2” and “Snapdragon 8cx 2 5G” have appeared as chips for “Windows on ARM” made by Qualcomm. The “SC8280” reported this time seems to be the next-generation ARM SoC that will be the successor to the “Snapdragon 8cx”.
It seems that Qualcomm is currently testing a 14-inch laptop with 32GB LPDDR5 with the “SC8280”.
The size of the “SC8280” is “20mm x 17mm”, which is larger than the “Snapdragon 8cx” of “20mm x 15mm”, Windows Latest reports.
5G compatible, battery life 25 hours
The “SC8280” is expected to support 5G in combination with the Snapdragon X55 5G compatible modem. Compared with this chip and the low power type Intel Core i5 processor, it is expected that 25 hours of battery life will be realized, although the processing power is higher.
