Apple’s weather app offers a variety of features, including 10-day forecasts and bad weather information, but it is reported that the “probability of precipitation for the next hour” is now available in the UK and Ireland. This is the first time the feature has been rolled out outside the United States.

Added features after the acquisition of the popular weather app

“Probability of Precipitation for the Next Hour” is a new feature of the weather app that was available only in the United States on iOS14. It is explained that it is based on data from the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

The feature was introduced after the acquisition of the popular number one weather forecast app “Dark Sky” in March last year.

In the iPhone user guide, regarding “Probability of precipitation in the next hour”, “If it rains or snows in the next hour, a chart showing the amount of precipitation (snow) in 1-minute increments will be displayed at the top of the screen (US). (Domestic only) ”, and it seems that it has not yet been stated that the same function is available in the UK and Ireland.
