I think reliability is one of the selection criteria when buying a personal computer. According to a survey by a support vendor, most of the problems Mac users encounter are with email and printers, and few with the Mac itself. The Mac is also more reliable than Windows.
Most repair requests by Mac users are non-Mac issues
According to support vendor Rescuecom, most of the issues Mac users requested for repair were non-Mac issues such as printers and email.
According to a report issued by the company, printers ranked first in repair requests by Mac users at 19.26% of the total, and emails ranked second at 18.73%.
On the other hand, Mac hardware problems are only 0.53%, and operating system (OS) and application problems are 0.35% and 0.18%, respectively, which are low percentages.
Fewer OS and app issues than Windows
Also, according to the company, Mac users report OS and app issues less often than Windows users.
The reason for this is that Apple’s operating system is so reliable that it’s specially designed to run on hardware designed and manufactured by Apple.
For Windows PCs, Microsoft designed and manufactured Surfaces account for only 4% of the total.
Apple also had the highest confidence score in a Rescuecom survey released in 2018.
