LG UltraFine 5K display is removed from Apple’s European website

Foreign media MacRumors reported that more than a month ago, LG’s 24-inch 4K UltraFine display was removed from Apple’s online stores in Europe. Now, the more high-end LG 5K 27-inch UltraFine display has also been removed from Apple’s online stores in France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom.

LG 4K and 5K UltraFine monitors are still officially available for purchase in the US. The LG 5K UltraFine display is priced at US$1,300 and offers one Thunderbolt 3 port and three USB-C ports. This monitor has a brightness of up to 500 nits, a resolution of 5120×2880, a P3 wide color gamut, and provides built-in stereo speakers, a camera and a microphone.

According to Bloomberg News, Apple is developing a new low-cost external display. The new display will be offered together with the current high-end $4,999, 32-inch Pro Display XDR. According to Bloomberg News, Apple’s new display will be cheaper and aimed at mainstream consumers, rather than the professional market that Pro Display XDR is aimed at.
