MacRumors reports that if you choose Nano-texture glass on your 27-inch iMac 5K model, it will be delivered in late March. According to the author’s confirmation, the Apple Store in Japan also announces that it will be from late March to early April.
27-inch iMac with Nano-texture glass delayed in shipment
For the 27-inch iMac 3.8GHz 8-core processor (up to 5.0GHz when using Turbo Boost) / 512GB storage / Retina 5K display, the standard glass-equipped model is scheduled to be delivered the next day, but when Nano-texture glass is selected. It will be announced from March 26th to April 2nd, 2022 (as of 0:30 am on January 28th, 2022).
According to MacRumors, similar delays appear to be occurring in Apple Stores in the US, UK and Canada.
The media said that something was wrong with the production of Nano-texture glass and that the number of shipments from suppliers may not be sufficient.
It seems that the turmoil at the manufacturing site is gradually subsiding.
Due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection, the unstable operation of the factory is one of the causes of the shortage of various parts.
Shipments of the new MacBook Pro do not seem to meet demand yet.
