Elon Musk, who acquired Twitter, mentioned the charge for Twitter on May 4, local time. Personal accounts will continue to be available for free, while commercial and government accounts may be charged in the future.
Will my personal account continue to be available for free?
Elon Musk proposed on April 10th, before the Twitter acquisition agreement, to set up a Twitter subscription of up to $ 2 per month.
Price should probably be ~ $ 2 / month, but paid 12 months up front & account doesn’t get checkmark for 60 days (watch for CC chargebacks) & suspended with no refund if used for scam / spam

The content of the statement is believed to be related to the existing service Twitter Blue, but with the acquisition decision on April 25, Twitter may be charged for a while. From the speculation that “Twitter charge” was ranked first in the Japanese trend in Twitter, it was attracting attention.
However, Musk said on May 4th about Twitter’s charge: “Casual users are always free, but commercial and government users can be slightly more expensive.” There seems to be no additional cost for using it with a personal account.
Twitter will always be free for casual users, but maybe a slight cost for commercial / government users

However, it has not been announced at this time whether there will be additional benefits if the personal account and commercial account are delineated or if the charge is charged.
