Sina Technology News Beijing time on the morning of May 24th, according to reports, Foxconn’s largest iPhone factory in China is recruiting to prepare for the production of the iPhone 14. Previously, Apple asked Foxconn to hire more employees two months earlier than in previous years.

Sources believe that under current concerns about production capacity, Apple is aiming to stockpile iPhone 14 inventory for at least two months in 2022, with production expected to exceed 30 million units.

On May 3, it was reported that Foxconn’s factory in Zhengzhou had launched its annual large-scale recruitment campaign, which was far ahead of the schedule of previous years. While this effort was halted the next day due to the outbreak, Foxconn appears to have resumed hiring at Apple’s request.

According to the sources, Apple asked Foxconn to start hiring at the Zhengzhou factory two months in advance to ensure it has enough manpower to carry out production and minimize the impact of the epidemic shutdown and supply chain disruption.

In this recruitment, Foxconn offers job seekers a bonus of 5,500 yuan. In addition, there are reports that the uncertainty facing other foundries has caused many of Apple’s orders to be diverted to the main factory in Zhengzhou.

While there are rumors that Apple will expand production in other countries in response to domestic shutdowns due to the outbreak, for now at least, Apple’s most popular products will continue to rely on domestic production.
