Is Google developing a “high-end” Pixel smartphone that is different from the Pixel 7 Pro?

Google Pixel 7/7 Pro

Google may be developing a Pixel smartphone with a “high-end” display that is separate from the Pixel 7 series. US media 9to5Google reports that it has found the “evidence.”

Discover Pixel 7/7 Pro display information from code

The media recently reported in the publicly available Android Open Source Project that it found code related to the specifications of the display on the Pixel 7/7 Pro.

9to5Google speculates from the description of “C10” and “P10” that C10 is the code name of Pixel 7 Pro “Cheetah” and P10 is the code name of Pixel 7 “Panther”.

Codenames “Felix” and “Lynx”

In addition to these two codenames, the media also reports that they have discovered codenames “Felix” and “Lynx” that are likely to refer to two other devices.

One of these two codenames refers to “Pixel 7a,” and the other is an unknown device, “maybe a collapsible Pixel Notepad with a second-generation Tensor,” 9to5Google wrote.

Mysterious device “G10”

Also, it seems that the code had a description of “G10” which is different from “C10” and “P10”. Moreover, this device “G10” seems to have a completely different display from the C10 and P10.

The two codenames “Felix” and “Lynx” discovered by the media do not have the initials “G”, so it is a mystery as to what kind of device the G10 is at this stage.

Is G10 a Pro smartphone?

According to the information discovered by 9to5Google from the code, it is presumed that the G10 is equipped with a Tensor chip and the OS is Android because there are many references related to Exynos.

Also, the refresh rate of the display is 120Hz, so it seems to be a high-end model that is not the Pixel A series.

From some tips, including the above, 9to5Google speculates that the G10 is a high-end model similar to the Pixel 6 Pro and 7 Pro.
