The latest research reveals that the number of users of Apple’s browser, Safari, has exceeded 1 billion worldwide.

More than 3 times the opening with Google Chrome

Atlas VPN statistics show that as of April 2022, the number of Safari browser users worldwide reached 1,062,322,879. It is equivalent to 19.16% of the total.

This is the second highest number after Google’s Chrome browser, but it’s more than tripled from the top Chrome user number of 3,378,967,819.

This number is a conversion of Global Stats’browser market share (%) using Internet World Stats’ Internet user metrics.

Edge rises to 3rd place

Microsoft Edge, which was fourth in the April 2021 survey, has risen to third this year, replacing Firefox, which was second last year. About this, Atlas VPN explains that the number of users of Edge has increased significantly because Microsoft made Edge the default browser in Windows 11 and made it difficult to change to other browsers.
