Samsung supplies 80 million OLED displays for iPhone 14 series

 
Korean media ET News reported that Samsung Display will supply 80 million organic EL (OLED) displays for the iPhone 14 series this year.

Ships OLED displays for iPhone 14 series after July

According to ET News, Samsung Display will start supplying OLED displays for the iPhone 14 series in the third quarter of 2022 (July-September).
 
Samsung Display is the only OLED display supplier for the iPhone 14 series to supply all models.
 
Low Temperature Polycrystalline Oxide (LTPO) for iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max-Thin Film Transistor (TFT) OLED displays have been supplied by Samsung Display alone, but for the first time in the iPhone 14 series, LG Display is the LTPO-TFT OLED for iPhone 14 Pro Max. It seems to supply a part of the display.

Supply 60% of the entire series

In addition to both companies, we will also supply some OLED displays for iPhone 14 from BOE in China.
 
Still, the supply of Samsung Display is overwhelming, and the company is expected to account for 60% of the total.
 
Samsung Display has begun procuring luminescent materials to manufacture OLED displays for the iPhone 14 series, ET News reports.
