Spotify Adds Podcast Creation Tool to Mobile App

spotify

In order to create a podcast for the music distribution platform Spotify, it was necessary to use another app called Anchor, but a new podcast creation function has been added to the Spotify app, and direct podcast production and distribution is possible. It became clear that it would be possible.

App functions are available from New Zealand

Michael Mignano (@mignano), co-founder of Spotify’s podcasting app Anchor, has announced that Spotify’s new podcasting capabilities will be rolled out in New Zealand.

Spotify’s new tools aren’t available to everyone yet, but there’s a teaser video out there that gives you a glimpse of how it works. The Spotify app that you use to listen to music and podcasts on Spotify will have a “+” button, and tapping it will give you the option to “Record a podcast.” Podcasts can be recorded in one take or in multiple shots.

When the recording is complete, you will be presented with multiple options, such as trimming the audio and adding background music. Then name your podcast, add cover art, and you can stream it to the world on Spotify.

It seems that no specific timeline has yet been set when Spotify’s podcast production feature will be rolled out in countries other than New Zealand.
