iMessages edit and undo tweaks
In order to allay user concerns, Apple has shortened the time to withdraw a message from 15 minutes to 2 minutes. After the user withdraws, a reminder that “a message has been withdrawn” will be displayed, but the content of the withdrawn message will not be displayed, even if the recipient has read the message before.
Apple has also restricted re-editing of information. After the user clicks on the message, the editing history will be displayed, and a message can only be modified up to 5 times within 15 minutes. And previously sent iMessages can be re-edited an unlimited number of times within 15 minutes. A re-edited message is annotated as “edited” without showing which parts were modified.
In addition, Apple allows 15 minutes to delete or “undo” iMessages. This is to help fix typos or undo messages to the wrong person, but can also be used to undo harmful messages.
Live Activities API
Apple launched ActivityKit in beta form, allowing developers to test the Live Activity feature on the lock screen. However, at this stage, applications can only deploy these new features through TestFlight.
Live Activities provide a real-time overview of information on the lock screen. For example, a sports app can let users follow sports events on the lock screen. Apple has previously stated that the Live Activities feature will not appear in the iOS 16 launch feature list, but it will be opened to users through an update, which may be iOS 16.1.

In iOS 16’s Mail app, users can undo email sending. In the previous 3 beta versions, the time limit for undo sending was only 10 seconds, but in the fourth beta version, Apple provided three options of 10 seconds, 20 seconds and 30 seconds.
