Apple’s union busting was terrifying – employee confesses

Apple Towson Town Center

The first union was formed at an Apple store in Maryland in June this year, but employees have revealed that Apple’s strategy to crush the union was terrible.

Union busting done in a traumatic way

A new chapter in history was made at the end of June with a successful unionization attempt at the Apple Store in Towson, Maryland. As a result, the union side won, but Apple hired a law firm that specializes in union crushing, Littler Mendelson, to prevent unionization.

Apple allegedly ran a campaign led by Littler Mendelson, but employees are still being forced to deal with its mental effects.

Employees are now signing a petition urging Apple to protect its right to organize, which the U.S. government recognizes, so that other Apple employees don’t have to go through a similar experience.

Were there threats that immigration assistance would be cut off?

Some of the managers imbued with anti-unionization ideology allegedly remained prejudiced against union supporters, complaining when they rested and denouncing them as lazy.

Managers also stressed how much they should be grateful for the salaries and benefits they receive from Apple, suggesting they could lose them if the union wins. Another employee said he was whispered that if the union won, they might end immigration assistance.
