9to5Mac has posted a video showing how the iOS16 beta wallpaper already supports an always-on display and how it works.

iOS16 wallpapers are vector images

Beta 4 for iOS16 developers already has a wallpaper that supports an always-on display, and posted a video that shows how 9to5Mac changes.

According to 9to5Mac, the iOS16 wallpaper will be a vector image. 9to5Mac explains that the wallpaper that comes standard with beta 4 for iOS16 developers is labeled “Sleep” and changes like the dial of the Apple Watch.

The always-on display is expected to be realized by setting the minimum refresh rate of iPhone14 Pro and iPhone14 Pro Max to 1Hz.

Reduced brightness when going to sleep

With the combination of iPhone14 Pro and iPhone14 Pro Max and iOS16, the clownfish wallpaper will go to sleep after a while and the screen will darken.
