Fitbit won’t sync with PC or Mac after 10/13

Fitbit

Fitbit devices can currently be synced with computers (PC, Mac) in addition to smartphones and tablets, but after October 13, 2022, it will no longer be possible to sync with computers.

With the spread of smartphones, the number of computer sync users has decreased

Until now, it was possible to synchronize your Fitbit device with your computer using the “Fitbit Connect” app.

However, with the spread of smartphones and the decline in users syncing using computers, Fitbit has decided to discontinue the Fitbit Connect app.

You will no longer be able to sync with your computer after October 13th.

For now, you can still download the Fitbit Connect app for Windows 10 and Mac OS, but after October 13th the app will no longer be available.

Fitbit notes on its support page that, “Effective October 13, 2022, we will be retiring the option to sync the Fitbit Connect app on your computer with your Fitbit device.”

The Japanese support page has not yet been updated at this time, but it is expected that similar content will be posted soon.

Users who currently sync their Fitbit device with their PC or Mac will now need to use the Fitbit app for Android or iOS to sync with their phone or tablet.

Can’t transfer playlist

Also, after October 13, 2022, the option to transfer music playlists from your computer to your Fitbit device will no longer be available. However, you can still listen to music you already have on your Fitbit device.

You can also use the Deezer and Pandora apps to transfer music from your computer to your Fitbit device.
